I am originally from Huntsville, AL and began my youth ministry career there when I was finishing my college education. Since then, I have served as a youth minister in Birmingham and Fairhope and am now back in Birmingham serving as the Parish Administrator at Saint Stephen's Episcopal Church.
I worked in Youth Ministry for over 10 years and am passionate about helping to guide young people on their spiritual journey into adulthood. My background is in Elementary/Special Education and I taught middle school students with Autism before going into full time ministry.
Throughout my time working with teenagers, I have learned that the thing I have the most energy around is developing engaging programming that makes them excited about God and their faith. I also love mentoring new youth ministers, being able to share my experience and acting as a resource to them.
My personal ministry philosophy is that by the time young people graduate high school, they will have: a prayerful life, a personal relationship with Jesus, and have learned to respect the dignity of every human being.
In my sabbath time, I enjoy cooking, reading, being with friends & family, and doing anything active outdoors.
